If you've ever heard of Accutane, you know this is not some simple acne medicine.
Back in junior high I took three sessions of this stuff. Each session was for 6 months and required a once-a-month blood test both to show that I wasn't pregnant as well as used to gather data since it was still considered semi-experimental. I was like most people on the medication and had horribly chapped lips and dry, usually bloody septum (skin tissue separating the nostrils).
My insurance notice that I just received that talks about medicines added and deleted from various Tiers (our insurance is so fucked up, really it is) notes that Accutane is being discontinued and is no longer being manufactured.
Interesting.
